Waverley Singers

From Friday 28 June to Monday 1 July 2024 we were on tour in the beautiful French region of Basse-Normandie. We were based in Lisieux, in the Hermitage Sainte Thérèse, and gave two concerts: one in Honfleur and one in Lisieux, with the main work being the Fauré Requiem. We were also delighted to team up with the Ensemble Vocal Gabriel Fauré for the Lisieux concert. See the individual concert posts for further details.

Below is a taster we produced in advance: Richard Pearce talking with Tour organiser Philippa Penfold and Mike Aaronson about the tour and why it is always special singing a work such as the Requiem in a place "where you feel it belongs".
