"Perfect Programme"

The Mayors of Farnham and Waverley were among the special guests when the Waverley singers held one of their “best concerts yet” in Frensham church on Saturday November 2.
Councillors Pat Evans and Mary Foryszewski must have been singing their praises as the group's programme of music by French composers was perfectly suited to the intimate acoustics of the village church.
Soprano soloist Charlotte Bowden provided a beautiful contrast to the full sound of the choir, sensitively accompanied by organist Philip Scriven.
The choir owes its ever-broadening repertoire to the thorough and expert training of Richard Pearce, with rehearsals taking place every Thursday evening in South Farnham school. The enthusiastic audience was inspired to give very generously with a collection raising £725.21 for Pancreatic Cancer Action.
Further plans for the choir include a Christmas concert with the Covenant Youth and Training Choirs at St Lawrence Church in Alton on Sunday, December 15.
A workshop day on Bach’s glorious B minor mass is also planned for Saturday, January 11.
