We were delighted to be the guests of Romsey Choral Society for this concert in the magnificent setting of Romsey Abbey, complete with a family of peregrine falcons commanding the roof and surrounding skies!
It was another brutally hot evening, and 70 minutes of the Brahms Requiem with only one sit was a challenge! But the magic of the music saw us through, and we were all inspired by the beautiful singing of Nina Bennet and Jamie Hall. Well done to the City of Southampton Orchestra as well for their stamina and skill! And of course congratulations to Richard Pearce for leading the combined forces with such enthusiasm and attention to detail. We look forward to future collaborations with our "sister choir"!
