The Christmas concert was a sell-out occasion at St Lawrence Church in Alton (pictured below). The capacity audience was treated to detailed and stylish performances of extracts from the Christmas Oratorio and Handel's Messiah under the authoritative direction of Richard Pearce.
Instrumental accompaniment included the virtuoso organist Philip Scriven and local trumpet start Nick Budd.
The choir was joined by young singers from the Covenant Training and Youth Choirs based at St Lawrence Church in Alton, while the excellent baritone soloist Benjamin Reason hailed from rather further away - he grew up halfway across the world in New Zealand.
