Waverley Singers end season by raising £1000 for home

The Waverley Singers - many of them from East Hampshire - rounded off their Golden Jubilee season with a performance of Bach’s Christmas Oratorio at St Andrew’s Parish Church, Farnham.
An enthusiastic audience of 340 raised more than £1000 for Bells Piece, the Leonard Cheshire home.
St Andrews has recently finished its internal refurbishment and the Waverley Singers were able to use a full orchestra there for the first time. The Tilford Bach orchestra under Malcolm Hicks’ baton - together with international soloists Claire Seaton, Alexandra Bell, Neil Mackenzie and Michael Bundy - provided a fine foil for the choir who were on top form.
